Based on the success of its previous events and on the fast-growing demand for non-commercial and content-oriented conferences, the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management Research Centre will stage the third edition of the EDHEC Hedge Fund Days in London on 20 and 21 November 2007. To accommodate the latest new developments in the alternative investment industry, the 2007 event is being rebranded as EDHEC Alternative Investment Days. The first day will comprise a Hedge Funds Summit, addressing the key issues driving the hedge fund industry today, such as risk, regulation and new forms of hedge fund strategy. The second day will cover state-of-the-art alternative investment and include coverage of new topics such as commodities investment strategies, real estate investment for ALM and the latest trends and opportunities in private equity alongside a detailed analysis of the most popular best practice' strategies for alternative investments.[ more]

"Innovations: Being active with ETFs"

A series of European seminars organised by EDHEC and iShares, the theme of which was "Innovations: Being Active with ETFs", took place in several major European cities throughout March and April, featuring guest speakers from the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management Research Centre. Topics covered by the half-day seminars included:

 - The benefits of core-satellite portfolio management
- Case study examples of how ETFs can be used in a 'core' and 'satellite' strategy
- Designing completeness portfolios
- How ETFs can offer risk reduction benefits for both equity and bond markets.

EDHEC breakfast seminar on Solvency II

EDHEC Asset Management Days 2007
